How Can I Get a Sticker?

The League will print a few thousand stickers. They will be available to all at Roc the Vote, a community celebration of voting on Oct. 26. Meet at Parcel 5 downtown from 12-3pm. Enjoy music, DJ's entertainment, food, face painting, and the chance to cast your vote nearby. SPECIAL NOTE: On Oct. 26 only, you can register to vote and then cast your vote, both at the same time. You might find them at other locations, such as the mock elections at MCC and perhaps on election day at Mount Hope Cemetary at Susan B Anthony's grave. If you have a great idea for where to distribute them, share your thoughts by sending a message to stickers@lwv-rma.org.

What is Ranked Choice Voting?

In Ranked Choice Voting, each voter ranks all the available choices. This is important whenever there are more than two choices, because it avoids the possibility of one candidate winning with a minority of the votes. If no one gets a majority of votes after the first round of voting, the candidate with fewest votes is eliminated, and their ballots are reallocated to those voters' second choice. This process continues for as many rounds as it takes to get a winner with a majority of votes.
